Dubbele Asia Miles met Cathay Pacific naar Hong Kong

Tot 30 september dit jaar biedt Cathay Pacific dubbele Asia Miles aan passagiers die met CX naar Hong Kong reizen in Economy of Premium Economy (klik) (verbazend genoeg niet in Business class). 

Deze aanbieding is alleen geldig voor leden woonachtig in de Benelux. Bovendien is registratie (link) vooraf vereist.

Boek je op Cathaypacific.nl, dan krijg je nog eens 1000 bonus miles. Nieuwe leden krijgen daarbovenop nog eens 500 miles dus al met al een lucratieve promo als je toch die kant op moet.

En de voorwaarden:

1. This offer is only applicable to members residing in Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. Residency is determined by the member's preferred mailing address as registered with Asia Miles.

Etihad Guest Gold memberpakket + status match

Begin dit jaar had Etihad een frequent flier promo (klik) waarbij ze Gold of hogere members van andere frequent flier programma's zouden matchen naar Etihad Guest Gold (middelste level). Ik was er vroeg bij maar snel daarna wijzigden EY de voorwaarden waardoor je een adres in de VAE moest hebben om in aanmerking te komen. Maandenlang hoorde ik niks meer van Etihad dus ik dacht er niet meer aan.

Tot mijn verbazing lag er afgelopen week een dikke envelop uit Abu Dhabi in de bus. In de bijgesloten brief stond dat mijn aanvraag alsnog succesvol was geaccepteerd naar EY Guest Gold dat de volgende voordelen biedt:

De laatste tijd komen er meer redenen bij waarom Frequent Fliers een andere luchtvaartmaatschappij verkiezen boven KLM. Het Economy Comfort fiasco op shorthaul vluchten, grote devaluatie van miles en de slechte PromoAwards.
Het gras is niet altijd groener bij een andere airline maar voor sommigen kan het schelen. Dit hangt er van de persoonlijke situatie af. Vluchtschema's, routes, prijzen en award redemptions werken niet voor iedereen. Ik ga dan ook niemand zomaar adviseren van airline/FFP te wisselen, maar als je besluit dit wel te doen (na goed gekeken te hebben of de airline/FFP voor JOU werkt!) heb ik wel wat tips en tricks.
